http://i424.photobucket.com/albums/pp32 ... ons004.jpg Exhaust side, lots of room here at least 1/8" around diameter all the to valve guide, lots of room on either side of guide to clean up. Valve seats have to be feathered in also, not as bad as intakes.

So am i roots, I use to do a lot of port work on 250,350,and 450 ducati singles for racing,i know how to get results, this thing will run like a bat out of devilville or grenade will see. Some of the crudest casting ive ever seen, lots of mold marks very rough bad machine work on valve seats. I have seen tractors with better casting work than this,i mean crude, any clean up going to be big improvement. Will post more pictures soon.

I started with 400 grit wet&dry sand paper, then buffing wheel with rubbing compound, next red rouge and finally white rouge. The white is used for polishing gold and gives the brightest shine. Just smooth up bare casting and polish,do not remove any material, you do not want to change cc of these chambers. The valves i used rubbing compount and fine steel wool,do not touch ground faces. The valve springs i will take to the speed shop with camshaft, will measure lift, they have a valve spring tester, measures in lbs, if valves are not close will shim to make the same,as close as possible anyway. p

I posted a nice long reply to your pic and it got lost in cyberspace but hey it was awesome talking with you this morning and I would love to go for a ride somewhere when you have that beast ready to roll.
Can we see some pics of your portwork? It looks like you have finished the exhaust side and are ready to massage the intake portion? Correct?

Nice work ghost!! Cant wait to see the results. What compression are you shooting for. Did you mill the heads, or are you boosting the compression just with the pistons. Are you going to upgrade the carb, or do you think the one you are using will flow enough. What about exhaust, do you have a header for it, are you going to make one, or are you going with the stock manifold? Looks like it should be a big improvement. Van

You were asking me about filters and velocity stacks for the Webber. Here is the brand I went with. http://www.pipercross.net/competition/p ... _px300.asp I believe I used the C303D. If you have enough room between the carb and the fuel tank you can run velocity stacks and this filter.
