All of the those mods have been tried and/or attempted at one point. I was running a flat-slide carb on several of my buggies. As far as drilling out the muffler goes; it was fine and added some air flow; but didn't do much other than that. We cut the end off of the muffler and cut the macaroni out ...

Bill; I'll help you find something.
I'm in CT as well and look for buggies all the time (it's a fault of mine...) just to keep an eye on the used buggy prices.

I live in Farmington and work in Willington.
What part of CT are you in?

Shoot me an email (buggy@teamhog.com) and we can chat.

To be frank those pictures don't look like you spent any time or thought on them. They look incomplete. It'll be hard to produce a shirt that has both a picture and some graphics on it. It's confusing. Come up with a theme and tweak the heck out of it. You may want to incorporate the existing BNews ...

Decrease your weight. A stock Y'Dog with good tires (ITP Mudlites) and Blaster shocks will make it up that hill no problem. It looks like your buggy is very heavy.. What's that thing weight?

If I am understanding this right you are using a CB450 engine and a jackshaft with the Polaris clutch on it and the Kawasaki driven on the Kawasaki transmission. If this is what I think the problem is the reduction from the transmission on the engine. the speed of the output shaft is going to be wa...

It's your starter solenoid
it could just be stuck; give it a little whack and see if that changes anything.

... or your ignition.

With no power on your ignition, measure the resistance across all the terminals and see if any of them read 0 ohms.

Last year was a real light turnout.
We can do something we just need to find a place.

To take PUDs idea a step further. using some longer screws add a nut on there, screw it into the reverse housing and then use the nut on there to set it down. Having the nut allows you to get a better/tighter fit. It worked for us on a few of them that seemed to be problematic. It's funny cause othe...
