Now, I am ready for this ...ride? The 150 has a fresh new GY6, new master cylinder (all the brakes work now) new shoes, new ignition, new coil, new solenoid, new carb, new LED front lights and a new tail light. I need to figure out the brake portion of the light since I can't run it through the nor...

Thx all. I ordered the M15 tap and plug kit above. Hoping that should do it. We'll stand the quad up on its azzend when tapping it, and maybe put some air pressure thru the dipstick tube so any shavings get forced out.

The low gear is the one that's hard to find. I did a quick google search, and looks like the high gear is available from Eric, and pretty cheap. Which makes me wonder why they didn't just fix it. Worst case scenario, you have to buy the entire secondary shaft assy for $240 plus the gasket. I would a...

It may be hard to tap with that plate in the way of the hole. I was also concerned about that. I'm assuming that's the pickup screen for the oil pump. I didn't take the picture, so I'm not sure the distance between it and the case. I think we'll be alright, I was mostly concerned if there's enough ...

Here's what the bottom of the case looks like. Anything concerning?

Here's another thread on the topic. Might give you some ideas if you want to do something other than stock. JD would be a good source as well. He works on these, and seems to know the electronics fairly well.

Thanks for the replies! You've just given me another minor setback. There is no plastic box on the plate... Off to find parts I guess. Thanks again! Those are pretty common to the 150s and 250s. Personally, I scrapped mine and went with an electrical junction box, and then painted it black. Plenty ...

I tried to find pics of my 150 to show where the regulator was mounted, but I couldn't find anything. Generally, it is mounted outside of the electrical box, usually behind the seat. It may be different on the 150s, I just don't remember. The CDI, resister block, coil, and other wiring was all under...

That brake disc hub looks exactly like what is installed on the center rear axle for the HH250 with the CFmoto. I had one helluva time getting that off the axle shaft. Beat on it in a vice for I don't know how long. Ended up taking it to a local guy with a press and he put a torch on it, and it fina...

Yes, very sharp. Really like what you did with the front bars of the cage. That looks much better than original.

Got the plug and it is indeed an M14x1.25. I tried finding an oversized plug, and that appears to be a unicorn. So, looks like I'll be tapping it and going with a larger plug. Bummer.

Copy all that. I'll get the plug from Jamie and make sure it's a 1.25 pitch. If it's a 1.5 pitch, then I'll just get the oversized plug and go from there.

Well i googled Eiger drain plug and looks like it is M14x1.25. You might be able to find that size in oversize otherwise you're going to have to tap it bigger. If you do have to re-tap it, put grease on the tap to catch the chips then pour some oil in and let it drain out to flush any chips that ma...

Jamie said the threads are stripped in the case for the oil drain plug on his 07 Suzuki Eiger. From what I've found online, the stock oil plug is an M14x1.25. I think the only reasonable solution is to drill it out to the next size, and tap it for a larger drain plug. Does that sound like the thing ...

Oh. Yeah, I figured the gas can on wheels was not a trail machine. Didn't know you had all that trouble with the Joyner. Your single seaters are good machines.

September you should see the 150 single again. Fuel tank on wheels just won't make those trails, maybe the 250 but I need to get the 500 polaris in it since it is not worth a damn unless I ride in low all the time as everyone leaves me behind. For now it looks like the 150 and 650 for sure. Serious...

I picked up this one today. $42.99 minus the 25% discount so about $32. Not bad. Ugly welds on this thing, but I think it'll work just fine. Plan on using Karl's advice and mounting it to 2" square tubing and then sliding it in the truck's hitch receiver to use it. Broke a bead down tonite and ...

Hard to say. I've never seen one like that, but maybe it shipped that way. If it was rolled, at least the owner fixed it. Not sure many people would have done that.
