Scary stuff. I've watched my friends do that, and they've been lucky enough to get off in time. Always hated that crunch noise when they land, roll, etc. Can just hear the hundreds of dollars of damage. Glad you're on the mend.

nah Rich I had a blast last year! I just hope I can get it back going for this years. This time I'm going to make sure to bring more beer and come earlier though haha! Always bring twice as much beer as you think. Learned that one early on! Sorry to hear about your quad ax. Care to share details?

I think the red spring is one of the stiffest ones, and may be keeping your driven pulley from opening all the way up. I've never run one, so I'm not sure. 60mph? Maybe, but you'd want heavy rollers/sliders, and probably the stock torque spring. Might even need to change the gearing. You'd lose most...

The belt/pulley looks about normal. Not sure on my top speed, I would guess mid 40's, but I'm geared a little different. You can always put it in neutral, and then throttle it up to watch the belt go thru its cycles. If belt doesn't go all the way up in the variator, or not all the way down in the r...

It does look like you have a fair amount of wear in that cylinder. That dark area at the top is wear and shows me that the cylinder is tapered. Port and polish, match the intake to the intake port, mill the head .030. Some of the best money you can spend on one of these.

That's some fat jetting. I think the stock pilot is a 38 and your main seems big for your upgrades. Back in the day, when I was running a similar setup, I think I had the stock pilot and a 135 main and I believe I still ran a bit on the rich side. What does your plug look like? I'd bet it's black.

I don't know of many cam options anymore, other than the Endrigo. I have Tom Syc work on my head and I believe with shipping back and forth and gaskets it was around $200.

Interesting. So you can mate the CN250 clutch and bell with the CFMoto clutch pulley?

Cylinder off, honed, and put back together with new rings. Check out the old ring gap! Slightly over spec. That is about how my Blade looked prior to the rebuild. Scored beyond honing. After honing, I still had some vertical marks visible to the eye, but I couldn't quite catch them with my fingerna...

Ok, so it was more of a jetting issue than a filter placement issue. My plan is to upgrade to the BBK, ported and polished head and rock crawler cam. But, that is a ways away. Its perfectly drivable as is i just feel like its upshifting way to soon. and in low gear it feels as if it upshifts and bogs for a few seconds and then picks up again and screams. Mine, too. I tried changing the engagement on the clutch, so that it hooked up at a higher RPM, but that made it worse...

Ok. Never tried it. What belt are you running? Do you have the CFMoto variator? I'm running 18g sliders in my setup. I also have 24" rear tires, and running the 12t drive sprocket. Have a black torque spring, and Dr Pulley clutch. Mine won't spin the tires, and I'm still trying to get the clutc...

You're running a clutch for a CN250 in a Hammerhead 250 SS? That should be a CFMoto engine/trans and I believe it takes a different clutch. The variators are different for sure between the CN250s and the CFMotos.
