This is terrible, I am so sad to hear of Steve's passing. I read all the above posts and can relate with what a great guy he was. Meeting him was one of my highlights at the 06 Buggybash. His passion for this hobby is what got all of us together, I am forever grateful. Sue, you and your family are in our prayers. Mark, no one better than you to keep Steve's vision going for the future.

Wow, I haven’t been on here in a while but I never ever expected to read this.
Sue, my sincere condolences.
I finally met Steve at the 2006 Buggy bash. It was great to finally meet the guy who built the website that kept me going on what turned out to be a great father and son activity.
Steve had the patience to help all of us and the foresight to build a great group of moderators to continue his vision.

I am sad to hear about Steve. I don't know what I would do without this site. I wish Sue and the family the best.

This is sad news, and my condolances go out to the family. I never got the chance to meet Steve, I was hoping to meet him at the 07 Rally.
I have chatted with him in the forum, and he was always fair, even when we disagreed. This forum has become more of my life than is healthy and I look forward to the conversations on here and the opportunity to meet other enthusiasts at sponsered events.
I never had the pleasure of meeting him, but from everyone who did they said he was an awesome guy. I got two emails yesterday telling me what happened and both of them were filled with Joy having known him. The sight he has created is wonderful and is his legacy to a growing sport in America. He helped start a community where before there was none.
My prayers are with you Sue. I have never met you, but I have to say as someone deeply involved in the Buggy industry Steve created a resource that was enjoyed by many people as a hobby, as a sport, and even for people who make this part of their living. The last three months I have chatted up and told everyone I could about the site, I wrote about it in trades, and it was the pride and joy of growing sport across America. He created something that took on a life of its own. I plan on helping out on the site and making sure it stays up in any way we can.
I would like to send my condolences to the entire hopkins family.
My family sends our prayers to Steve's family. I am fairly new to the site and even though I have never met Steve, I could sense a strong commitment to family and a true enjoyment of what he was doing. Because of this Steve’s hard work with Buggy Forum, my family and I joined an activity that has given us many hours of pure family fun. My God bless and watch over your family.
