Hello, My name is Cody and this is my first post. I would first like to say thanks to all of you that are on here for helping and assisting others. I read alot of information off this site before buying a kart, and plan to give additional information as much as I can. Thank you for this great site!!!!
I just bought a Dune 150...it wasn't my first choice, but now that I have it I like it more and more. Overall it is a GREAT cart just a bit weak for what I was looking for, but with some time and hard work it will be a great toy and project for me. I have already added a few upgrades this week...Uni Filter, HP CDI, HP Coil and plug....not alot, but it'll get there.
If anyone has any questions or comments please feel free to contact me. I look forward to meeting you fellow "karters" out there.
Also anyone in the Reno/Tahoe area that wants to ride let me know!!!!!!

Welcome to the Forum! You're in good company with the Dune 150. There has been a lot of mods described on that and its twin, the Crossfire. Sounds like you've done your homework & started off with the "best bang for the buck" mods. Get to work on the shocks so the extra speed won't rupture a kidney

G'Day Duff,
Welcome aboard. Like JJ said, great to see more Aussies here on Buggy news. I'm from Brisbane & own a Hammerhead 250SS. You'll learn a lot from the blokes on this fantastic forum. I've gained a wealth of knowledge about my buggy from the guys here & doing a bit (a lot) of tinkering. The buggy scene must be catching on here in Oz. I'm starting to see more & more stuff appear over here. Still, it is very hard to find much in the way of performance parts & knowledge locally. Thank god for Buggy news! Enjoy & keep us posted on how you're travelling with your buggy.
Cheers, Beetle.

New here. Found lots of answers to my questions here. I have a older XTV 150. I got it used on craigs list for 500 bucks. It did not run when I got it and it needed a list of parts. I was able to get most of the parts through Carter Bros. Tie rods did not come with the rod ends from Carter but Grainger has them and they don't cost much. So far this thing has been a blast to drive. I live on a big piece of property and have already worn a track into the grass. I am in my mid 40's and I feel like a kid again. I will post another thread about the rebuild adventure.

Yep, I know all about that. I still feel like a kid (every time I get behind the wheel) even after having a buggy since Memorial day 2005
