Are you holding the cvt plate with one of those rubber band wrenches yet??

I'm glad I never had one like this... all mine come off with a few taps of the impact gun.

I do hold it sometimes, I have the belt and clutch off of the buggy. Even with the fan un-held in any way, if you put the impact wrench to it, it may turn a full revolution once in a while. Most of the time it just sits there in utter defiance! I don't think my problem is the fan turning, it's more about the nut that is just part of the buggy. I think the compression of the engine is holding the fan from turning much at all. I tried to impact it foward, and reverse. 600ft lbs just isn't enouigh pressure.

I would torch that baby. It needs heat. Don't worry...you aren't going to blow anything up.

Do you keep your Talon in an unheated space? Like your garage or something? That would contribute to the electrolysis. Moisture will speed up the process of dissimilar metals fusing together.

Make sure that when you do get that nut off that you put anti seize compound on the threads. This will prevent it from happening again.

I put the bic lighter on the bolt for quite a while. No change.

I am actually thinking I might have to rent a u-hall and take this buggy to a gas-station to see if they could help me.

Lets see $165.02 for the (2)impact wrenches, $34.62 for a huskey strap wrench, and now thinking of throwing in a u-hall fee and gas station bill...

Wow!! This sucks!

I would have paid the 5cents more on the asking price of my buggy to have a washer put on these nuts from the factory.

I just had to run to the door to get my new face buster spring.

It would be great if I get it installed.

bic lighter? bic lighters are fine for lighting cigarettes but not putting heat on a stuck nut. You need serious heat from a propane torch or something similar.

I have a Huskey air compressor set down to 90psi. It will do 125psi I think.

Huskeys air impact wrench's instructions state maximum air pressure 90 PSI.

I hate to go past the tools warning.

I am going looking for a torch.... wish me well. :)
