Hello, The back shocks on my buggy are air shocks. A few minutes ago, I checked to see if there was any air in them by pushing the air valve thingy. Only a very little bit of air came out. Is this why they are EXTREMELY stiff?
Also, what do you need to put air in shocks? How much air do you put in them?
Thanks!

I'm not sure about the pressure but somewhere I've seen a table about that. Look around on the TeamJoynerUSA site. I'll check later, but right now I'm at home with a really slow dial up. I wonder how air charged shocks would change if you took them to the local tire shop and filled them with nitrogen? I've always thought green valve caps were relly cool

I had air shocks on my van and I filled them with a air pump just like a tire. Checked the psi with a tire gauge. I would doubt you would need more than 20-30 psi. 150 will hold up a van, trailer, and 2 palets of sod at about 2000 each

I had a conversation with a plumber, testing soda lines in a bar we're building. They use nitrogen gas to test the lines, because compressed air contains moisture. Probably the reason it's used in shocks.
