My KPX Terrannex (darn Thing!) Has a CN250 engine, the bolts that hold the magneto to the starter clutch backed themselves out & completely destroyed the stator and clutch. Close to $400.00 in damage. thought i would tell you guys so you could check the tightness of yours & throw some threadlock stuff on the bolts.
it really would only take an hour or so to get done.
and might save you downtime & $$$$

Thanks for the heads up. I don't think we've heard of this one yet.

At least the replacement parts fit perfectly, i ordered them from honda for a 1999 helix. I was worried that they would be different in some small way and hold up the show, but no problem.
So far, My Buggy, Which i ride daily(If its not broke)has sucked up an additional $1500.00 in parts & upgrades.

Gotta Pay To Play !!

Can someone tell us where the magneto is located on the 250 engine? Like, what part of the motor should be opened to access this area so the bolts can be checked.

Thanks.

It's Under The Right Crankcase Cover, The Oil & Antifreeze Needs To Be Emptied Out First. Disconnect The Hose's & Oil Tube, Loosen The 9 Or 10 Crankcase Bolt's & Be Gentle Getting The Cover Off So As To Not Screw Up The Gasket. The 3 Bolt's Holding The Magneto Are There Front & Center.
