This will explain every thing you would want to know. It's for rc cars but the same concepts apply

ya i have been enjoying it so far.. you can tell from the video that it will eat the dirt alive.. it wasn't wet or anything.. i had it on a damp road and drifted just like it did in the videos.. i think it do some real damage with some 27inch diggers on the back.. well im glad you guys approve the buggy now that you got to see the video... i figured you would have more to say about it chucky but i do appreciate the link.. that stuff is over my head.. mine is doing the opposite of what you said that it should inner tire should cut harder but my outter tire is cutting deeper so its like they are fighting each other. i think if i drop the rack n pinion about 2 inches it will straightened it up some.. the tierods are on a big slant...

Brother it turned out better than I thought it would to be that long. Love the way it slides and takes off. Good Job.

I was pressed for time so I just watched the video. That thing gets it man. It's still low and I'm sure you know that but hey :D It comes close to grounding in a few of those turns. Man that toe in was crazy. I'm glad you got it fixed. If you want to see how well it turns, take it at a turn with out those back tires spinning. I need one of those motors man 8)

Ackerman is simple. Take a string from the center of your rear axle. Pull it up to the big bolt that holds your hub. In line with this should be your tie rod end. It should be a straight line from axle-king pin-tie rod

i get what you are saying about the alignment now... when i was reading all of it didnt make that much sense but the string idea does click lol... ya it was weird every time i hit a gear the front end raised and the toe changed.. i think its the angle that the tie rod ends mount to the spindle since i swapped the spindles out. the spindles were more slanted the the factorys...
