No one has answerd the ? on what does your title say your 250 HP is rated at.This is not a put down to smaller engines but is intended for CN250 owners.Come on guys what does your title say?I read what mine had to say, what about yours? With all the 250s out there why no answers. mancoman
Mancoman, some are rated at crankshaft and some are rated at rear wheels.Alot of specs arent right anyways on these buggys(at least thts what Ive found out).

I have not looked up the rated hp for the CN250 I have and I got no title with it. My guestimate would be 15 to 17hp. Interested in what the numbers you get here will average...

OvertheHill your titled 18 HP rating is about right for a CF250 HammerHead.I would lean towards what GroovieG had to say between 15 to 17 HP.Seems to me that some of the Kinroad buggys that BIGE sales rate a 250 at 15 HP but don't quote me on that-seems awfull low .Thats why I asked what you guys titled 250 HP rating is to compare between us. mancoman
What you dont know is which is the motor hp and which is a rear wheel hp. Just a sproket change can change the hp at the wheel. Same with the 150's. Some say 9hp and some say 12hp. It's all in the gearing

ChuckO i've heard the same of the GY6 150 from 9.9 to 11 HP.But all in all average 10 HP about like the old Manco 640L that I owned for 4 yrs. When it comes to climbing steep hills the 10 HP can not match the CH 250 in power.A smaller engine can not fill the need for torque and power on the trails I run.The 10 HP was a dog when it came to climbing, the 250 will do the steep grade with ease.SEE YA POPS. mancoman
