my brother has that exact notcher... he uses it for custom metal furniture or something and he loves it!

Thanks for the info i was'ent shore the prices jump from $79 to all most $300
that can make you wonder if your getting anything for your money.

Depends on how much you use it. I'm on an offroad fab site as well. Over there most would tell you both of them are no good if you make a living at frames. If your doing small work or 1-2 frames then no worries.

I believe I'me gonna pick up the HF one myself. I've heard you will want to make a few test runs to get the angles correct

I just seen the HF notcher yesterday at work we had a HF catalog . Im guessing the bearing dont hold up with a lot of use ? But it should'nt be a problem if you only building a couple of buggys . Im trying to talk my brother in to building with his old 305 kawasaki .

The bearing and there not ar acurate. I think you can replace the bearing and once you know if it's a hair off you could just adjust

I think the HF notcher would be a starter me easy to replace if anything happend
to it . But for wright now im working on a gottrike bender.
