How would i go about conveting an ac buggy to dc?

1. Need an 8-pole or bigger stator
2. Need higher capacity rectifier
3. Need switched DC power from ignition switch
4. Need power relay off ignition

The switched power off the ignition needs to feed a relay. The relay will be what feeds CDI off the battery. The ignition switches are too flakey and will not handle the power draw of the CDI before causing problems.

Unless you have a buggy that needs a new harness, it is easier to just get the correct CDI for harness you have.

Ok i see. Im really just doin it just to learn how. that would explain the relay on my HH 150s. Now why do my HHs use both pins on the 2 pin connector? My older HHs have the old small style rectifier while the newer ones have a black rectangler style. Would 12v+ strait to cdi work to see if its gonna fire? Im doing this to a couple of crossfires
