Polaris acquired Hammerhead some time ago. Haven't seen them do anything with them, though.

I would like the Hammerhead buggy designs to progress with input from Polaris but wonder if the price will also (making them prohibitively expensive). Many of the sport UTV's are very buggy-like, but the toy prices are surpassing road vehicle prices.

It is a shame that you don't see a replacement for the 250.

Ain't that the truth. That Can-Am Maverick costs more than any vehicle I've ever bought.

Polaris has plenty of existing engine choices they could use in a buggy. I wonder how serious they will be in this market since they will not want to undermine their RZR line. I think they could make great entry level buggies that would attract people to the Polaris brand and more expensive models would sell as people want more speed, suspension or capability. Honestly, I would make Hammerhead the 2wd vehicle line and keep Ranger/RZR exclusively 4wd to differentiate the models. This would allow cross over and common designs while catering to different markets.

I'm sure they don't want anything competing with the Ace, either.

Agree with you both, would be nice to see them produce something in the 400cc range in a chassis similar to the Hammerhead 250. Something with Polaris support.

A 250 would be nice in a bigger frame with a good engine. if they could keep them in the 3 - 5 k range would be affordable for most as opposed to the 10k and up for the rest bigger ones.

Hammer head does have a gts 250. Just about the size of the 150 but has a high low gear box.

I know its weird. I just purchased a GTS 150. When I was looking I called minitrailbike and was told they had the GTS250 in stock. But I couldn't find anything about them on the hammerhead web sight.
