I am thinking about getting one also, it would be great to hear from someone that owns one, or sells them even...

I just bought one. I'm still breaking the motor in but so far it's been great!! Locktite is worth it's weight in gold though for sure. I really like it. The trails by me are very rough and I haven't got stuck anywhere. Plenty of power. I just bought it 3 days ago so I'll know more in a few weeks or so.

well i've had the trailmaster about a month now and have put 150 miles on it. I had a problem with the chain not being lined up and could'nt figure out how to move it over? I ended up having the dealer look at it and he ended up having to cut and weld the rear engine mount to move the whole engine over half an inch. I was a little worried it might end up tweaking something but so far no problems with it and everythings lined up. I had one of the brake light mounts break off right below the weld, just welded it back together. I have found that with two adults (about 400 lbs) there are some steep hills I cant climb or in one case on a very long hill with alot of stop and go ,because big rocks, I smoked the belt. I think once I fix 'er up with some upgrades for more climbing this buggy will rock! I tried a jump that the four wheeler guys built and it was rough (for me) lol wont do that again. This thing is amazing on trails though! I need to somehow make some cv boot guards because I was making my own trail through the woods and ended up ripping a boot. easy to fix though. I wish it had better front suspension but I guess thats how it goes for a better turning radius. Im very meticulous in going over it and checking that all the bolts are tight now because i've lost a few. one of the steering arms bracket bolts fell out and I didnt notice until the next day. I also lost one of the bolts on the roll cage. Theres a very small bolt that holds the fan blade on the electric motor that came off and had to be locktite. basically just a bunch of little annoying things, except the engine mount deal. I wish I knew the cause of that problem. I ended up replacing the overheat warning light with an autometer temp gauge. the autometer was the only one I found that the sending unit was the exact same size and threads as the dummy lights unit. so it was super easy to swap out. I think thats about it... anyways if I had to do it again I would still buy the trailmaster. thanks for reading

that's good info on the gauge. i thought about installing one on my HH250 but i don't know if the fitting size would be the same. i would assume it would be but who knows?

nice!, might put some rubber (cut up an old inner tube) between the mount and the dash to keep it from cracking.

Well now my fan wont kick on when it's supposed to. I'm gonna replace the temp sensor switch and see if maybe its bad?

replaced the temp switch for fan so now the fan kicks on at 165 and keeps the engine temp a constant 180. I recently took the buggy to st. Joe state park in missouri ( I'm lucky and its just a 50 minute drive from my house ) It was my first time ever going and it was amazing! the buggy performed great all day. I rode the wheels off it too. I climbed every hill that my buddy could in his kawasaki bayou 300 2wd with no problems, some were very steep with rocks and roots. everyone including me was impressed. In the sand the fastest I could go was 40mph if I was lucky. I went through alot of muddy puddles where I often had water over my waist but never got stuck :) everything held together well too. 2 of my fenders vibrated loose towards the end of the 10hrs of riding we did, and on one very steep hill I was creeping down oil must have seeped into the carb and it smoked like crazy for a few minutes. when I cleaned the air filter there was also oil in it. My guess is because of how the head is pretty much horizontal that it causes this to happen? Im not really sure but it didnt effect the buggy at all and it was only that one time it happened. I am very happy so far with the buggy. sorry no pics I forgot the camera. I'm going again soon and will bring it.

I'm not sure if I just rode it too hard or what but my clutch pads are already worn to the metal with just under 400 miles on it. granted they were not easy miles. LOL. I've oredered lighter sliders a heavier main spring and a Dr Pulley HiT clutch. Hopefully it will last longer than the stock clutch. I'll let you guys know how it turns out. Should be alot more low end:)

I just put the new dr pulley hit clutch in with lighter sliders and a yellow main spring. I just installed it with the springs that came in the clutch, i'm pretty sure theyre the lightest. The clutch engages very smoothly at low rpm's which makes sense I guess because of the light clutch arm springs. the sliders and main spring really help keep the rpm's up so I can climb better. I'm not sure about the clutch though? I hear theyre supposed to be amazing but i'm not sure what I should expect. I mean it is still a 300. should I be able to spin the tires on pavement or something? If theres anyone out there who has experience with these clutches I could really use some advice / help on what to expect and what works? Thank you

hey guys been a while and I just figured id update you all on how the buggys working out. So far I'm still very happy with it. I've had what i'd guess would be "normal" chinese buggy issues but nothing catastrophic. Trailmaster has been great with supplying me with anything I need and even covered some parts under warranty over 10 months after the purchase date. The biggest problem is still not many motor upgrades that I know of. I have my cvt all hopped up and its been great. no slippage at all. by the way the stock cvt set up sucks, wore it out in like 200 miles. I have tore the crap out of this things and it keeps coming back for more. no low gear so thats a bummer but I have not been in a situation yet with my set up that I felt I needed it. all and all I can say I'm definitely addicted. LOL I now have around 600 miles on it. wanting to put led headlight, brakelight, and blinkers on it soon. looking forward to the bash in june to see how it compares to a hammerhead.
