Trailmaster xrx300 battey

by Tachdriver » Sat Apr 15, 2017 9:32 pm

On my new xrx300 I have installed a powered speaker system in the back cargo area and I think I may need a larger battery. Also I want to install a LED bar on the front and splice it into the high beam wiring. Can I do this with the stock charging system ? Or should I get a second battery and just wire those to into it and then charge it back up when I am done riding ?

The 300 looks like it has a generator and voltage regulator but it may be under powered for accessories. What has everyone else done ?

You will want to wire the led light directly as they don't require much voltage to operate. I believe if you have or go to a 12AH battery you should be fine,as long as you have a decent charging system.

Do you mean wire the LED light and Speaker system directly to the postiive and negative of the battery ? With a on/off switch of course ( a relay )

Nah just the led's. I found a hot wire in my fuse box,and then just grounded it to the frame. I'm not sure about your stereo, but it would probably be in your best interest to also wire it seperate.
