Guys, I think you need to look closer at the pics. It tore the metal around the welds on the bottom bars. The welds are solid to the bottom bars.

yes that is what it looks like to me. To replace it you would have to order the whole bottom frame and transfer everything. As I do not trust the other welds on the frame

Has the dealer came and got it yet? I would think they would replace the buggy

No, they told me they can't work or look at it for at least a week, he has two techs out and I will have to wait. And I will probably have to drive it there. He also told my wife that they are getting a bunch of new hh in and that is very busy also from that. In my opinion thats not my problem. Your service is where you make all your money not from a shipment of hh coming to sit on ur showroom floor. I am really starting to get agrivated with the dealer now and am wondering if they are gonna push me to call the manufacturer. I don't want to wait a week. He didn't have a problem when I walked in with the money for the buggy. I'm leaning towards getting my money back. I can't believe I paid $3999 + another $300 in taxes. I've never paid msrp on anything and I paid it thinking I was helping a small business so I would atleast have a shop around when I needed repairs. The way things are going I can order the frame and rebuild it myself before they will be able to look at it. I called for price and availability of a headlamp, they said they were busy and call me back. I waited 3 hours and called back and they went ahead and ordered it without asking me or telling me the price. So I went online and ordered it myself for $15 cheaper on a thursday morning and recieved it saturday. They still don't have the headlamp and they order thiers on wednesday. Not happy with the way the dealer has handled this.

Ok looks like I am sitting on the hh for a lil while longer till he gets room in the shop middle of next week sometime to get the bars welded back on. Not what I wanted but its what I have to do. I will see how this job comes out and maybe while they have it they can fix the 5 other things wrong with it that they missed last time. Not good as that will add up to almost 4 weeks of this thing sitting for repairs. I purchased this thing 5/17 not even a month later. So here goes another rental truck and trailer. Oh yea its only on it 3rd tank of gas If I ever can get to the 5th I still have to take it in for a service check and they would'nt do that before 5 tanks. Idk guess I just gotta go with it. Kinda wish I would have just bought online and saved the money, getting about the same service.

Maybe I missed it but where are you located and who did you buy this buggy from? This is stuff we all need to know.

Welcome aboard and good luck. Hopefully after they get this part done, the bugs will be worked out. I would make sure you document all that's wrong or been wrong with it, dates, photos, etc, in case you need to ramp up your complaints to Hammerhead Offroad.

If I were you and you have not done so yet, I would give BigE the VIN # on your buggy like he asked. He is a very reputable dealer who can probably get a little better results. There is no way I would settle for what they are offering, in fact at this point I would probably press for a full refund and buy from a reputable dealer here and pay the extra amount to have it shipped via Uship and end up with a machine that is completely setup and ready to go.

I did give BigE the vin # and so far pretty much my next step is to let them weld both bars. I would rather have a full refund now or even a complete replacement would make this better. If I got a refund I would just go buy another hh from another dealer. Like I said I don't know how the other welds will hold but this seems like what my next step has to be.

A lilttle update,I have called to try to reserve another truck for next week and it is booked through for the next 2 weeks. The only other option I have is renting a budget or uhaul box truck and load it up to take it there. Not even a van is available and nothing else has a hitch on it. Btw The trailer is out of town next week my buddy needs it for a car show. Man I realy wish this dealer would pick this up, They do have a company pickup they used to drop it off.

Maybe you should make another plea to the dealer and see if they can pick it up. I would think they'd want to do so considering all that's wrong with it.

Ok after making sure I exausted all options, I asked the dealer again if he could pick up and drop off the buggy considering it will be the second visit to his shop for repairs before the initial service visit. His responce to me was quote: "Brian:

Unfortunately, it is absolutely imposible for us to pick up your unit. Our chief tech of 13 years is out, with no idea when he will return at this time. He is still in the hospital.

For what it's worth, why not rent for the day a trailer? U Hual has trailers, and they are very affordable to rent, with no mileage fee. Many of our customers use them.

Once you get it here, we will have it done in 1-3 days.

Let us know if you can when you plan to drop it of."

I emailed him and told him I was looking for a truck initially so I could tow it there on a traier but the trailer is in use and the truck is booked through for the next 2 weeks. I wrote him back saying I will just have to sit and wait as I am not strong enough to lift the buggy into the box truck. I could try to find some ramps for that hight but thats more money I have to spend and I would still have to rent a box truck. So now like I said I'm sitting and waiting. more time the buggy is down. MiniTrailBikes.com is definatly not getting a good recomendation or review from me.

I would contact tj powersports. They would have 2 options, fix my problems and cover ALL my cost. Or deal with my lawyer. Once my lawyers done their looking at all my cost, cost of the buggy, all my lawyer fees, and anything else I can get in there. I would also file a complaint against both the dealer and tj. This not acceptible. If you bought a car that the roof came off on do you think you woud be treated this way?

So much for being one of the best buggy's. If TJ wont step in and fix this, it's a huge black eye on them. I'm kinda getting tired of all thee so called top brands stick peter to their clients. You could have bought from a drop shipper for this tye of help. And that seems to be a running theme lately with carter, joyner, and hammer head. Tough times is not an excuse for roketa service unless thats the recomendation they want us to give. At this point I dont even know if it's worth buying a new buggy. I could have had the bigiest peice of junk up and running in this time frame and all for less than 1000

I feel the same way. And I completly agree. I will be contacting tj powersports today. Hopefully they can light a fire under somebodys a**, as I have been unsucessful.

Sounds painful, but where do you ride if you don't trailer it?

A craigslist trailer should run about 150 for the size you need.

I live around alot of farmland where prettymuch everybody knows of everybody. And its patrolled by 2 state police and everybody knows them. I fortunate enough that I can ride on the grass down to a dredging company which is huge and always changing. They are constantly moving dirt around which makes new jumps hills and other areas. Also the police don't care if you ride on the county roads as there is no local police here, I called and asked and was told as long as I stay as close to the edge as possible and are not driving wreaklessly (my buddy pulled a wheelie in front of one and all he did was escort him home) they won't care and I have not been botthered. Matter of fact thats where 200 miles on the buggy came from is county roads just crusing around, the other 100 miles are off-road.
I attached a google earth pic of where I ride and live.on the right of the map are the county roads I can ride on.

Very cool riding area. I do agree, though, that if you can afford it, buy a little trailer instead of throwing money into a rental. You'd be surprised how much you might use a small trailer. 5x8 is a good size and you can pull it with anything.

I definatly planned on getting a trailer and a vehicle to tow with but didn't expect to have to make so many trips to the dealer so soon. Dealing with this matter has made me put off the search for a trailer and way to tow it. I was going to have a class 2 hitch and wiring installed on a grand marquis. I would have had that handled by the first service visit but i've been dealing with this for most of the time I have had the buggy and still have 2 more tanks to go through it before the initial service visit.

I will be able to take the buggy to the dealer tomorrow. Also the buggy has a new problem. Took it out yesterday as the dealer said it was perfectly ok as it wasn't s structural part of the buggy and won't cause any damage. Riding about 20 minutes and stopped at the beach area, got on the beach, took a break, then got ready to leave and the buggy has no power when I pressed the throttle. It was barely crawling, so slow it didn't register on the speedo. Got towed out with an atv and rode it back to my house and it would not break 21 miles per hour with 2 passangers and a lunchbox cooler in high gear. It would sputter every 3 seconds or so. It felt like a missfire. I don't know what the dealer is gonna do to fix this. Seens like it would be cheaper for tj powersports to just replace my buggy than keep on paying for parts and the dealer for the repairs. I've got a list to give to him tomorrow.
