Chuck the nut is that tight on the clutch? I set mine in the vise and used a pipe wrench and didnt have to grunt much at all. Those strap wrenchs are junk IMO. I never have had luck with them. I use impacts at 150 psi. If that doesnt get them off, I have a motivator bar that will.

Oh it's the clutch. Trying to change main and clutch springs

The nut from heck, right?
Here's how ACBlind and I do it.
Place the nut in a vice, you can usually turn the clutch just enough to get the nut loose. Remember to be careful.

If not, you can get a large adjustable wrench that will do the job just as well.

Maybe it's just you. Have the Misses try it... or the kid..
I couldn't resist.

I should have thought about that first.
Now, if you don't get it fixed she's gonna blame me.
That's okay I can take it.
Plus I won't see her at the Bash, so just blame me.

You guys are great... It's so fun to tease long distance...

glad you got it those can be a bas...d to get off.
41mm when converted to inchs is in between the 1 9/16 and 1 5/8.
i can't remenber which one we used on a friends to 250 but the nut came off hard we both had to stand on the clutch and pulley around 375lbs to keep it from spinning around on the floor and his compressor pumps to 150lbs and he has some high dollar air guns to
they had lock tite on the nut and it sure done its job.

That was your mistake. The strap wrench was too expensive.
Glad you got it.
