If it makes any difference SunL buggys are not rated very good for customer backup and parts. You can read this by going to the front page of buggynews,go to bottom click on purple box of buggy info and read for your self with whom to avoid when it comes to buggys. mancoman

I agree, I had 2 sunl atv's in my shop, they were new and could not crank. one melted the wire harness when trying to start it. found out the cam was off by 2 teeth, sunl was no help in getting the customer any support and they would not even talk to me.

they had a websight awhile back www.sunlsucks.com

well i hate to keep beating a dead horse but if this helps some else i will tell it again.when i first saw the buggys i just knew i had to have on.here is were i screwed up only looked around a couple of weeks and at the wrong info that i should have been looking at.i picked out a sahara 150 (kinroad buggy) called a company and they told me ever thing i wanted to here and more they even called me.so like a dummy i wired them $2,099.00 buggy was supposed to be at a freight hub 30miles from my house within 10 days, i ask them were it was coming to and they gladly told me.the day the money hit there acct.that is the last time i talked to them on phone or by email.i did get a email from them that buggy was being shipped out.10 days went by nothing no tracking no.this finally went on for 45 days before i got a tracking no.this is after a lot of phone calls and emails that they never returned, when i got the tracking no. it was at a hub pick up around a 130 miles away i had so many hours of it setting there before they started to charged me $48.50 a day.
ok i got there on time just to see it wasn't even the buggy i bought, imagine that.it is the sunl i have now shipped from sunl out in Texas.the people i talked to was in Florida.can't leave it there $48.50 a day so i take it home there was some broken parts like vacuum petcock, missing bolts stuff like that.
so i call sunl for the parts needed and things just kept getting better.i was nice and told them the whole story and what happened and to ask them some questions about this buggy that i now owned and that i needed some parts to get it going.
they told me it was my problem and i would have to get the parts from my dealer.i called them 3 times not trying for them to give me the parts but to sell them to me,all he said was talk to your dealer they save the parts for there dealers.
this was the same guy i talked to all three times.they wouldn't even sell me a few dollars worth of parts.also he did tell me the people was one of there dealers.
this was a hard lesson learned paid 2,099.00 for a buggy i didn't even get and from a company that could care less and wouldn't even sell me some parts for the own sake of the company's name.
this is a true story i have no reason to lie.still have all the paper work on what happened and what i bought.

pud

SUCKL only cares about one thing....and that's emptying as many containers from China as possible, getting your money, and crawling back under their rock. They LIE and EXAGGERATE to make the sale and have NO INTENTION of ever honoring ANY warranty or providing parts or ANY kind of post sale support. They do have "some" decent products, but most of what they import are totally defective, horrendously bad, poorly manufactured and dangerous junk products!!!! Doesn't matter if it's good or bad, you simply WILL NOT get any answers, parts or post sale support from TRASHL once they get your money. How do I know this.....? Well I'm located just 15 miles from JUNKL's national warehouse in Dallas Texas. These people DON'T have a clue! They're just there to unload the container, take your money, count the cash, then IGNORE. They have ABSOLUTELY no knowledge of the products that they sell. SUNL is a SCAM!!! Usually it's a ripoff via a slick webpage (cause most SUNL dealers with a physical location don't stay in business very long) and they hope the buyer goes gives up and goes away. Now I just have a real problem with charging someone $2k for a go kart that they can't get parts for....!!! But that's typical SCUML.

WOW Ric!!!! You mustuv had a rough bout with them!!! you sound like I did amonth ago when Baja Motorsports shoved a warranty up my rear! lol... My buggy broke at a super huge important weld (NO ABUSE AT ALL), and then they accused me of jumping the buggy and that it was out of warranty so they didnt care anyway... Real nice they are over at Baja motorsports.... Just like SUNL I guess... ESPECIALLY since their Baja 250 looks amazing simular to the TrashL 250... HMMMMMMMM

For what it's worth, I'm one of the lone Sunl lurkers still around (I think pud flies the flag for us).

I got mine from an eBay dropshipper back in late '05, if I recall correctly. Didn't discover Buggynews and the anti-Sunl advice until after-the-fact. The price was cheap and I got a minibike thrown in on the deal, but the service and support afterward was near zero. Haven't had to order any parts yet (I have rednecked anything that has broken). Had an odometer on it at one time, and I estimate that I have somewhere around 250 miles on it.

Mine is still stock, in one piece, and runs as good as new. BN has helped alot (reverse cable oiling, A-arm flange greasing, etc. etc.) Originally battery cranks well and the exhaust hasn't fallen off yet. I used to beat it up somewhat on rough dirt roads and wooded trails, but thanks to my recent job relocation, I only drive it around my flat suburban yard or to pick up my daughter at the bus stop every once in a blue moon. I've had some issues with it, which can be read about if you search BN.

That being said, although I personally have been happy with mine, I purposely haven't been vocal about recommending it to others. Based on alot of comments here on BN, I may have gotten lucky with the one I bought. My recommendation is to stay away from the "lesser" brands unless (1) you are mechanically inclined and like to tinker with things, (2) plan on driving it like a golf cart instead of an ATV, or (3) simply don't have the extra money to dole out on a better brand and don't mind taking a chance. My reasons for buying a Sunl were all three of the above, even though I have roughed it around in the woods more than I thought I would.
