Post subject:  Newbie -- looking for Joyner buggies in mid_atlantic area

Hello, all -- I am a newbie to this forum. A few weeks ago, my family and I drove some dune buggies on some great trails at Wisp Resort in Western Maryland, and are now officially addicted. In that regard, I have been searching high and low for several Joyner buggies -- a 650 cc Sand Spider, 250 cc, and a 150 cc (all two-seaters, of course). Used but in excellent condition is fine. There seem to be none in the mid-Atlantic area, other than a slightly used 2006 650 cc at a dealership in Pennsylvania, which is ridiculously priced at $6000.00 -- it is the green one on eBay right now, listed for a second time with zero action. If anyone has any suggestions or knows where I might find one or more of these in the mid_Atlantic area, I would be most grateful -- we've got a place at Deep Creek Lake, in Western Maryland, and would be looking to keep them there (Oakland, Maryland). Thanks much! [/i][/b]

Did you see this one? http://www.buggynews.com/topic14278.html

They stopped importing the Joyner 150cc buggies in 2007. I have never seen one, but am told they will not fit adults comfortably.

Keep searching Craig's List in the areas that are close to you. Eventually you should be able to find a Joyner that is 1-3 years old for half the price of original MSRP. The best deals are in AZ, but you have to have to another reason to go that far than just to buy a buggy...

You may want to go with a new buggy since you are new to these. Doonrunr out of ID will sell you a new one for a good price and give you better support than many dealers that are much closer. Once you know your buggy, it will be much easier to look at others and see what is right and what is not.

That buggy of Brian's is a good deal...

You should talk to Tom over at KidNMe Power Sports.

He'll set you up...

I wouldn't discount the used buggy option. There a lot of good buggys on the market right now.

There still might be some 150s available. If interested let me know and I can get you the information. They would be new if there are any. A new shipment of 250s arrives this week and there are plenty of 650s available. Maybe a package deal would peak your interest.

Hey someone from Garrett county? I'm originally from LaVale Md.
There is a Joyner dealer here in Fayetteville NC but that is 8 hours away from you and all his buggies are new. He does have the 650's and 250's in stock though.

Post subject:  Bought three buggies

 Hello, all. First and foremost, a huge THANK YOU to all who helped to guide me in buying my first buggy. I am pleased to say that I am now "officially" one of you all. I bought Brian Czawlytko's 2007 yellow Joyner 250, and have had new gears put in as well as a couple of other things. Runs like a top, thanks to Tom at KidnmeKarts, who is just wonderful. I also went out and bought a new lime green Twister GT150, as well as a new black Twister SS250. Of course, also had to go buy a 16' trailer..... Have had the buggies out on the trails at Deep Creek Lake both of the last two weekends, and didn't want to come back to civilization....ever.

Thanks again -- now I truly understand the addiction...... :P

peterg,
Glad you made the deal...
Brian and Tom are really good guys...
You dove in there head 1st...

Can you fit all 3 buggies on your trailer?
If so, how'd you do it?
I can only put the two Y'Dogs on there.
If I take a truck I can put a buggy in the back of there and haul the other two on the trailer.

You'll have to make on of our Northeast Buggy Bash's. There a lot of fun.

Again, welcome.
