I wish I had heard all this before I bought my kart, err buggy, err Whatever ! Besides all this @#$%, The guy who bought my rig new never heard of an MSO. The guy bought it off the net & no one told him he ought to have one. How do you get an MSO on a 3 year old rig ? SunL in Dallas suck as far as customer support. Original owner has NONE of original paperwork so State Inspector is annoyed at Auctioneer for selling it without "proper" proof of ownership. What a cluster!@#$. Pardon my attitude, I just am fed up with no sticker options. Does anybody have any ideas on how to get some sort of papers for this thing ? It is a 2006 SunL 250-2A. I like the rig ,but this paperwork stuff is a drag. Just venting ! Don |

In WA, a vehicle with no title is brought to the State Patrol inspections stations where they certify the VIN and run a stolen vehicle report. You get a provisional title for three years that can then be changed to real one. Home built vehicles and vehicles without VINs will get one created by the inspection station. |

Wish it were that simple here. The old DMV guy was cool about stuff. He did exactly as you said, but this new lady is strict. I have heard nothing for 2 weeks from her. I`ll post more as it comes in. Don. |

If that one inspection station is giving you trouble, try another one. As you see, it really depends on the staff. |

What happened was the DMV office sent me to the Vehicle inspector. She now has ABSOLUTE jurisdiction on this deal. What a crock. The DMV folks said her decision is gospel, no other recourse left. Hope she has anice day when I see her. DK. |

RicDuncan on this forum is a dealer from TX. He may be able to give you examples of registered buggies to prove that precedence has already been set and the inspector will be able to see how to properly code your vehicle to allow registration from these samples. |

I have a title now. After much grief, the "Inspector General" came thru. After 4 months of delays, I got an appointment for inspection. It was almost anticlimactic. Half hour of small talk, 30 seconds to check out the VIN tag, & she gives me the thumbs up. I was happy then, but 3 days later the title shows up in the mail ! Even better. Now I can get my limited access plate & off road UTV sticker. Christmas came early this year ! Don. |

I have been reading on here for a solid 3 days straight and love the forum! I have already learned alot, and can't wait to upgrade. BUT I'm also in Texas and wasn't aware of having to register these type of vehicles or getting a title for them either??? What is this, and is it imperative to have? Thanks. Jarrod |

I live in Idaho,my deal may be different. The lack of paperwork on these deals can be a headache. Most of the problems stem from people not wanting to pay the fees. Try the name above for help.
