They had the Helix last year and I posted a thread here. Everyone said they would be onto something if they put the 150 on the Carbide and made it a buggy. Well, they did.
My brother seen it at TS and called me. Around $3,000. Too much but I wanted to see it anyway since I no longer have a buggy. My TS has a return, $1,800.
They changed a couple things. The 'go-cart' version had long A-arms but this has the short ones. Also still has small rear tires. They are wide but short.

Yup, just picked one up last week, what do you want to know about it?
so far it's a nice buggy, brakes are good, suspension is ok, I think it could use better shocks though, stockers are a bit stiff but maybe they will loosen up.
the motor would be my only complaint so far, im not use to the gy6 so maybe its normal, but it has no power. it will run about 38mph on the gps down a paved road going slightly down hill with max PSI in the tires. that's with only me in it. hehe
when we hit real loose sand even on a flat surface sometimes my passenger has to get out or it wont move. on hard pack dirt with two people it will run about 28mph, btw our combined weight is 300LBS and the buggy is 520LBS, not sure how that compairs to other buggies.
Im in the process of getting ready to take the motor off and mod it up some more. I added the unifilter and match ported the exhaust where it meets up with the head, also a few other things and it seemed to help some. also dropped the small sprocket 2 teeth but added bigger tires so im about back to stock gearing.
I think the main problem with the motor is the clutches, a comet belt drive would be nice anyone know if they can be swapped?

ouch! 2200???
You cannot put a comet clutch system on this type of motor. It is a CVT sytem, with 1 variator and 1 clutch. There is a belt between the variator and the clutch... you need to replace the variator roller weights and the clutch can use tuning as well with a new torque spring. That should get you a little better torque and movement with passengers.

Thats absolutely disgusting
Haha, that's what I was thinking.
But the intake is genius.

myself i think its not a bad looking buggy looks to be well made with good leg room. also for a buggy like that i don't think the price is to much either better than i other one with the no front brakes, thats my opinion speedy26 i agree do the rollers and torque spring a big plus there.also if your axle is made like some of ones here you might beable to put a 39t sprocket on it. that will help your low end and getting you through loose stuff like sand. pud
