Im looking for my fisrt buggy/cart. Most of my friends have quads or full size buggys ranging from VW 1600's up to superchargerd 3.8's. My problem is that I think a quad is to much work and dont have the cash or time to start a buggy from scratch. Im in missouri and if we go anywere it would be deepwater down by truman lake and we usually hit little sahara in oklahoma twice a year. A local delership had a 2 seater 150cc vision buggy on its lot and its not what I am looking for but they gave me there website and the razor Z-250cv

http://visionmotorsport.com/z-250cv.php

really caught my attention. I like the looks and its got dual A-arms all four corners. The guy at the dealer said they are honda clone motors so im asuming I can mod it without problems. Does anyone have any experience with Vision. Any feedback or tips would be great. Hopefully I will be a mini buggy owner soon without regrets.

adrian,
I am from missouri also. my brothers just got back from little sahara. I have the800cc and ride st. Joe st. park and at my cabin in St. Genevieve. That price seems a little high for a 250, but I am not familiar with it. It is a good looking buggy. Where is the dealer??

if you are running with full size buggies and quads, you may be underpowered with a 250. They are nice....but compared to the real deal, you may be disapointed. It is all in what you are looking for.

Thanks guys,
Im in kansas city, we have 3 local dealers, blue springs lawn and garden, Kart mart in bonner springs kansas and a used car dealership in gladstone. The price is a little high but the dealer in gladstone said they sell the single 250 for about $3900. I think they are a fairly new company as the dealer in gladstone has been selling them for about 9 months.

I dont have to have this cart but it gives you guys an Idea of what Im looking for. Single seater, 250cc, independent suspension all 4 corners with some decent travel. The Razor Z-250CV has 8-12 inches at each corner depending on the shock set up.

Any suggestions of a more popular kart with simmilar features would be great. I have looked at a lot of them but havent seen many with IRS. If the 250 is underpowered I dont think I would have any problems throwing in a 30-40hp industrial v-twin like a kohler or vanguard in a year or so.

I bought the 2150 and really like it. Not sure who you are looking at in Mo. But mine came from that area. Sterling is the guys name that is the importer, and he seems like a nice guy from what I've been around him. My dealer speaks highly of him. Kent..

I think the Vision 2150 is made by KINROAD.
They appear to be the same.
Really a good kart.
Does your Vision have the dual chain drive?
Does it have Neutral gear like it says here:

Well I got in touch with their distibuter in blue springs missouri. They are having a problem with the Z-250CV. It seams the heavier drive train with the CV joints are causing the 250's final drive shaft to break. They think its more a proplem with the 250 than the way the drive train is designed, so they are putting beefed up 150's in them at a price of $3000, he said they are actually faster with a tuned 150 than the stock 250. They have a few left in stock but that model is being redesigned to accept a larger 500-600cc motorcycle twin motor. Not sure when that will be compleated. He said I could choose a larger motor and wouldnt have any problems, I think he mentioned a 500cc rotax. he said they work on them right there and do all the service. Im going to go over this weekend and have a look at one and see what options I can come up with for a power plant. If I can find a 500cc bike motor Id get 5 or 6 gears but I would loose reverse. Ill let you know how it goes next week

The Joyner 250 Sand Viper has what your looking for. Don't know if they have a dealer in your area or not. Contrary to what their website says, the engine is the same as in all the other 250's. CF-Moto 172mm. I have the Sand Devil.

Well, I went out to look at the vision razor cv-250 single seater. They had a used one that belonged to the owner and a new one that was spoken for. The used one was an earlyer design with stronger looking A-arms but looked like it had plenty of hours on it and he wanted $3500 so I passed on the deal. He said if they get any new ones with 150cc motors they probalbly wont have A-arms in the rear. He also said they are trying to design one similar to the edge piranha with a 500-600cc german twin motor with a stronger diff and cv housing but its price would be close to 10 grand. He actually had the german motor in the shop but it would need a heavy duity commet type trany witch isnt cheap.

After some reserch on the net I think the kart is built by Shanghai Jinfeng Motor Co., Ltd china.

http://www.jfmotorcycle.com/Product/EN/ ... ductid=260

I tried emailing them to find any info on other importers but the email was returned as undeliverable. The only other place I have seen them is on

http://www.terminatorscooter.com/shtml/ ... /2583.html

But they list no price or inventory. This buggy has a lot of potential. Maybe they should try powering it with a CF-moto 500cc motor

http://www.cfmoto.cn/product/power/500-1.asp

The guy at vision said they should know something new within the next couple months. If they go overboard with this kart it will place it out of my 3-4 thousand price rang.
