Considering a lift kit for my Arctic Cat Trail XT. Finding the unit sits low and I get high centered in the ruts when going thru the mud holes the bigger rzr's have chewed up.

Anyone have anything to say about lifts in general, some of the additional wear and tear I might experience, good idea or bad idea?

You might have a better response on one of the arctic cat sites.

EDIT: I belong to Prowlertalk.net and there's a handful of regular posters that are using lift kits on their Prowlers. They might be able to give you some advice one way or the other.

i agree with sockman don't think you'll get the answer here.
these buggy guys here gave us a spot forum but as you see most of us ask our questions and then answer our own questions
i don't belong to any of the utv sites but i have a few time went to some to find info. i have a manual on computer for the utv here but it don't answer everything one might want to know.

i have the same problem i just try to stay up on top of ruts but that always don't work if you can't see whats under the water :D

it wasn't a bad question i would want to know that myself. its just the utv section don't get many people over there. i think it was added in 008 thought more would been on it by now.maybe some don't want to be where the karts are or to good i just don't know. :D
i have heard others say utv guys are snobs they dang sure don't know me my winch cable hook will fit theirs too
really i like all kinds of things i have a little 150 buggy a blast to drive. but when you can't get in and out of it and then have to crawl to house to lick your wounds after driving it, its time to do something different :D

I've got nothing against the little buggies, I can't bring myself to sell the HH! I think it's just too cool!

I get what your saying Pud, lots of "bigger is better" types up my way.

yeah yeah for sure. want to get some feed back before I do the lift, make sure I don't cause myself more problems with extra wear points.
