Texas is going to have ride this spring in Bulcher , Texas at the Red River Trails .

Please reply to this thread if you are interested in attending .

It is only about 3 miles from the Oklahoma border so all members from Oklahoma won't have far to travel either .
A definate weekend is not scheduled as I need to contact the park and see what events are being held as to not conflict .

Here is a link to the park , check it out !

http://www.redrivermotorcycletrails.com ... /park-news

It is 2,700 acres ( which is 700 acres larger than St. Joe if that gives you an idea of the size . )

Like I said , reply if you are interested in attending . Dates will be determined in the next couple of days .

Chris,
I have already gotten confirmation and they will approve our buggies . Here is the email I got back when I sent in pics of our buggies . When they list "dune buggies " they mean full sized buggies . This is where alot of people do not pursue anymore and just do not go to a park . When you ask , ask if they allow side by sides . After all what is a two seater buggy , a side by side correct ?

Here is a copy of the email :

Hi there
Thank you for your inquiry. Thanks for the pictures...those helped! Yes, we allow side by sides (razors, mules, rhinos, etc.). We also would allow what you are showing . So no problem. Both of those types of recreational vehicles would be permitted at our park.

Hope that helps!

Have a great weekend.
We look forward to having you visit our park sometime in the future.

Maybe it isn't worth pursuing , I guess I will give it through the weekend and if nobody is interested I will drop it .

:D

Its funny but some of our Best Events, were a turn out of "very shy on people". One thing I know and often appreciate :) Is...
Fewer buggys = lesss breakdowns; less breakdowns = More Riding time !!
Be flexible as to time frame till you get imput from other's available time frames.
Go For It !!!
Create an annual event (even if you and some friends/neighbors is all that make it; This Time, have lots of fun, take lots of pics & they will come :D
One of our first "Bashes" we made it to; almost 5 yrs ago now, had only a few peeps -- and we had a great time !!! We Bashed like crazy !!! :D

Plenty of time to spread the word (some folks surely have not even seen this thread yet)

im game raz. I always love trying the new parks as well. Since they closed my favorite park here in the area i wont mind going to somewhere new. Its extremely hard to find anyone with a buggy thats willing to ride. Ive given numerous people links to our page here just to try to lure them in. Lets not give up and anything i can do to help let me know bud.

I am glad I am not the only person that can't understand why people don't want to ride . I guess I should be used to it , I had friends buy Harleys when my wife and I rode alot . I used to call them the wash and wax club , as they used to ride to the local watering hole and come back and polish for hours . There are alot of bikes between the years of 2000-2008 that have very few miles on them because of the "custom chopper" years .
I will keep my head up and see what I can do .

Once you get the first 1 done, and folks find out"that it was worth the trip" it will get better. I think the Kansas Gang's first ride was only 4,and we had a blast! I didn't make the last 1 but I think there like 10.
Give plenty of notice,50 people will want to come,30 will say they are coming, and 10 will show up. To me that is a pretty good turnout.

I've talked to him once. Was a while back, and I was too busy to spend much time on the phone with him. I know he rides at applachia bay sometimes. Never have ridden with anyone but my boys so far.

Just got back from a race that my son raced in at Red River Motorcycle Trails . The place is awesome ! You can ride for 304 days and not be on the same trails . I rode a RZR this weekend and it did great and made it on all the trails that we went on . Only one wa kinda narrow .
Pics are on FB .
