Not bad, take the CVT cover off, take out the variater and replace the rollers. This will give you more torque.

Bolt from devilville was the variator nutt. :)

The CVT cover usually requires you to take the muffiler off, or get it out of the way. Mine muffiler unbolts so I dont need to disconnect it from the engine.

The best way to learn is to pull out the wrenches and start turning them. If you have any problems you know where to post a question. There are lots of people on here to help you conquer just about anything. The easiest and cheapest mod you can do to improve the performance of your buggy is change the rollers like Jabo said. I don't know much about the 250dx but I think it is the same motor as what is in the 250xt. So once more people start getting the 250xt's, the more people will be able to help you.If you don't have the tools, you better start saving your money or know someone with them. You are going to need a decent socket set(metric) and a decent set of open end wrenches. If you want to tear into the CVT and replace rollers, you will also need an impact wrench. Hopefully your neighbor can help you out there.

Good luck and keep us posted as to what projects you take on.
