Morning, thanks to Bige I am the proud owner of a power buggy 250. Being a gear head, what would be the most you could get out of it? I have read about the racing head and cam combo with a 75mm bkk. I would like a balance between speed and a rock crawler. Any input would be appreciated. Thank You.

Congrats on the new ride. I love mine!

First I would look at a Uni and re-jet. Then move to the cvt. I would suggest 15g sliders and a white main spring. This is the most common set up so far. Of course you can change them around depending on what you want more (speed or crawler). Then look at new header and exhaust.

From there you move into the big ones....head, cam, bbk!

Enjoy and be safe.....Welcome to the addiction!

Oh ya....Lets see some pics!

I would call Mike at bpnw and get the stage 3 Endrigo head, the Endrigo hp cam and for rock crawling the Endrigo rock crawling cam.

Nice answers! So what if one had the following:
BBK
Endrigo head
Cam
Exhaust
UNI
Coil/CDI combo
32mm carb rejetted
complete CVT udgrade

What could one expect from his 250? I guess what I am asking is, what is the most you cab get from your 250 buggy? I really liked to know? Thanks for any input.

What about the turbo kits?

I would like more speed but I think somewhere in the middle would benefit the most. I have read several post on cvt and you can achieve so much just by modifing that alone. I wonder what you would get if you did the engine and cvt?

I would do the cvt mods first, then the air filter and rejet and exhaust. after you run it for a while the do the head and cam

Good advice on what to do first!! What I was curious about was the top speed difference? Climbing up hill is just as important but I tend to favor the speed just hair more.

I read once some one mentioned using a fuel injection system from a kawasaki 250 ninja, anyone have info on this?

have not seen FI on a 250...

top speed is way over rated, unless you are out west in the wide open spaces, other than that i have never been on a trail i could get it in top gear wide open. Only time i see people do that is on a regular road....

i guess maybe in the midwest or some other place with long straight dirt roads, but trust me you dont want to hit ANYTHING do 45 in a 250 frame.

if u are trail riding and even atv park riding, then you are not going more than 20-30 mph...

good luck!

The power buggy frame is pretty stout. The SV250 and PB250 are my top 250 buggies, both should have come with 40-50hp motors imo.
