wow! is all i can say...its the best 65 bucks i have spent sofar on the dune baja 150...i have a huge bump on my trail that used to jar my spine so bad bottoming out the stock shocks...it took me less than an hour..i ground the one side down on the banshee shocks to fit my dune mounts and the bolts are even the correct size...so easy....i was gritting my teeth ready for the spine busting bump....i do catch some air ...but is was so smooth.....no bottoming ..no spine jarring crunch....if you aint gottem on ...gettem! only thing i have noticed it feels like the rear end came up extra high...kinda scared me...though i was goin over endo ...but at least it was smooth...i am fixing to put on some 18in snowmobile front shocks on and see it that helps......ebay has tons of banshee shocks...my stockers are 14"..the banshee were 15 1/2" but they squat when sitting does not effect the fuel bowl level..suhweet ride baby!

Cool! Glad they worked out so well for you.
For the front I'm really happy with the Artic Cat shocks I've been using but they are still a little soft. Great ride and handling but they bottom out on jumps. Been hearing very good reports here on the DS650 shocks but I couldn't find any specs or spring rate so I just bought some off eBay to test.
If you can wait a couple weeks before changing your fronts you'll benefit from my tests.

i will wait....i dont have much a problem w/the fronts stockers..i can bottom them out..but they otherwise get me by......i think i will wait on the snowmobile shocks ...they even look soft...i already get a ton of bump steer ..so whats a little more...i plan on putting some padding on my steering wheel like we had in the 70's wrap around leather padded stuff.. i run my tires at 14lbs cause i have rolled them off the rim on the lower air pressures....i will take the abuse over a flat anyday

nearly all the banshee shocks are the same...but ask the seller before bidding...most are gonna be 15.5 ....they are very easy to mod and install......the blaster shocks are 14" and may work as good...but i just like the banshee shocks better

my neighbor has a set of blaster shocks to sell me for like 20 bux, lol...no shipping!......but they are in NY right now, and he thinks they are 14.....is 14" ok? or is that 1" going to bottom out that motor? Last thing I need is the motor banging around!
I am bidding on a set of banshee shocks on ebay for 36 right now, if I win, cudo's! if not, i was going to try the blaster schocks....
blasters are same length as stock..i just wanted more ground clearance with the banshee's 15.5...you will love the ride...its totally smoother ride i have never bottomed out these shocks ....stockers bottomed often, and jarred mine spine to much..

oops...I was supposed to follow-up on this thread Rear shocks: Blaster shocks are 14" and fit good--after narrowing the eyes. I haven't bought a set of Banshee shocks but I know of several successes. They are a little longer than Blaster shocks and might require adapter brackets (or moving the originals) if you want to keep the ride height the same. Spring rate and overall quality are a big improvement over stock.
What I really want to comment on are the DS650 shocks. I bought 2 sets on eBay and they are very nice shocks. Both sets are different. One pair are sealed and have no nitrogen inside. The others are nitrogen charged and the shock itself exerts 80 pounds of downforce (without the spring). The nitrogen shocks are rebuildable. Both sets are 19.7" in extended length and have dual-rate springs of 90/140 pounds per inch. I've been running 120 pound springs which I feel are a little soft. Except for the length, the DS650 shocks would be ideal. For me I still prefer my Arctic Cat shocks. They're the factory length of 18" and fit the mounts without any mods except enlarging the eye bushings a few thousandths. The 120# springs are factory upgrade Cat springs to replace the 100# stockers. I'd recommend 150# springs if you can find some.
