hi guys i have the gy6 150cc engine in my kinroad buggy ive fitted new lightened variator weights cone air filter and racing cdi box but now my buggy wont start when it does start occaisionly it just ticks over for about 2 seconds when you try to press accelerator it just cuts out do you think i need to go bigger on carb jets please anyone help thanks andy

Hi Andy-

When you put the new air intake on, did you change the jet in your carburetor to a larger size? If not, this is most likely the problem. You're getting too much air and not enough fuel and the motor can't run like that.

Try a 125 jet (if you have not modified the exhaust) and see how it runs.

might also check the wires going into the cdi plug, they can back out and not make good contact
