It's quite annoying having to get out of the buggy while having fun to smack the carb to make the Slide go back to normal. I don't know why it started doing that but it won't stop it. I have pulled the carb off twice to clean and inspect it. There are no contaminates on there at all. I even went as far as to pull the slide completely out to clean and polish it to make sure it's not gummed up or dirty. I used 2000 grit sand paper to smooth out the carbs body and inlet area. I blew it all back out, cleaned and inspected the diaphram/spring. Put it all back together. Then reinstalled it. Same thing, it runs perfect, starts immediately, revs smooth and fast, drives spot on. But long runs at WOT or certain bumps it will start to bog at lower rpms and won't rev off idle. Than I get out and smack it with my handy screw driver and the slide will go back down and off I go.

Lather, rinse, repeat......

Ideas? 2morrow I'm going to swap carbs and jets and tune it to this carbs spec. Or I might try swapping the slide diaphram, spring, and lid onto this carb body.

Jerimie

Roger that. I'm making a snorkle today and modifying the radiator plate.

Well dang! I double checked the 2 vacuum lines(from manifold to vacuum device on back of carb and the line that runs on the vacuum device to the carb) cleaned it out again and is still sticking open after random WOT runs. I'm going to go ahad and swap the other carb on it.
Is the CV Slide closed by spring and vacuum?

Are you shure that your throttle cable or linkage on the outside of the carb isn't sticking?
