Ok here is the story. A freind of mine has a buggy with the two bolt valve cover and is wider than the carters. Not sure what brand it is but I know he dosnt have the good motor. after following me around the atv park on his 4 wheeler he says to me my buggy wont run here like yours does. I ask why and he says it wont pull the hills. I offer to do the mods for him. here is the problem I modified an exaust to fit theis motor and installed intake and all the other stuff needed. Up to this point I had not ran the buggy. I started it yesterday and it is burning/blowing oil out the tail pipe. I know the rings are probly gone.

Is there a dealer on here that caries a ring kit or a rebuild kit for this motor????? I need to tell this guy something. I'd even concider replacing the moter if the cost isnt too bad.( I'll get him to pay of corse).

mic the rings and let me know what they are. I have a set but I dont know what size they are.

Eric I need a ballpark price for the parts. I'm not going to tear this moter down unless he agrees to pay for the parts. He didnt tell me the moter was almost blown up when he delivered it so I'm not taking responsability for this.
