I need to know if I need to adjust my chain. how loose should the chain be? Im guessing you check how much the links will move back and forth to determine if its too loose.

On the rear of the engine should be a tensioner adjustment that raises or lowers the back of the engine to adjust chain tension. Adjust for about 1/2" total chain deflection.
