So I have the idol set so when the kids start the buggy (dazon 150cc raider) it doesn't stall. But after they come back from a ride it is revving way too high. If I turn down the idol so it sounds like a good idol the next time the kids go to start it (when cold) it will just keep on stalling on them unless they keep their foot on the gas.

If the choke is disconnected or broken, the enrichment circuit is always on. Search this forum on how to check out the choke.

It is a new carb and choke. THe choke works fine. The buggy starts great and runs great both when cold and warmed up. I replaced the carb because I couldn't find a new choke for the carb that came with the buggy (I tried 3 different ones). I knew the choke was bad because it started fine, but after it was warm ran like crap. With the new carb and choke it starts and runs the way it should except when idling. If I set the idle at a good RPM when cold then it is too high when warm. If I set the idle at a good RMP when warm then when the kids start it from cold the idle is too low and it keeps quitting.

it sounds like a lean problem the pilot jet in the new carb may not be the same size that was in old carb, these carb come with all different size jet.
after it warms up and choke has shut off try adjusting the air fuel screw on carb. turning it out counter clockwise is giving it gas,in clockwise is air.
give it some more gas try like a 1/8 to 1/4 turn out
the idle will come up but than you can turn it back down up at cable.
might help the problem most carbs now days have a cap over the screw. you can drill a small hole in it so you can get a small flat screw driver in there or just take cap off.
it on the drivers side left side of carb beginning of the neck on carb down next to bottom.

also make sure you don't have a small intake leak first that could be causing the problem
