New here but sure not new to online Forum. Had a Trail Master 150 XRS and it was great the 4 miles or so I used it. Then got a RZR 570 so my wife could ride. Mistake so its gone and I am back to a Mini Buggy Kart market again.
Is the Hammerhead GTS 150 worth the $500 more or so than what I planned to get again, another Trail Master XRS 150?? No my wife will not be coming along its just me and maybe my dog. :D

Both are pretty much the same buggies, with just some slight differences. The Trailmaster is the older style hammerhead buggy. You really can't go wrong with either imo.
I think the Hammerhead looks nicer with the hood, rear fenders, and the side protection around the cabin.
I believe the new hammerhead 150 also comes with a oil cooler and manual choke too, but the front skid plate andturn signals are no longer available. Maybe on the platinum 150 they are, but I'm not sure. I know you get the aluminum wheels and nitrogen shocks on the platinum too. The Hammerhead's front nose can get bumped and scraped when going up or down some inclines, and my older HH 250SS doesn't seem to have that issue.
I think you can also get the wheels and roof lights on the Trailmaster 150. I'd contact One of the dealers on here for more solid info though.

What I am finding is more or less a closed market on the Hammer Head buggies. The dealers think they are selling Cadillac's instead of Chinese made machines. If I could get one at a decent price I would buy, but really the Trail Master is actually $600 cheaper. Both are Chinese. The dealers here in Iowa do not stock any on hand. If you order they tack on shipping and setup charges. My guess is they only sell the kids ones they have in stock and very few order. I will make a few more phone calls today to locate one in stock.

Whereabouts in Iowa?

Have you considered getting one drop-shipped and then putting it together yourself? Personally, I'd prefer to do this anyway. Gives you the chance to go over everything, check all the nuts/bolts, etc. That is assuming they still drop-ship like the old days. Plus, you don't have to pay for those extra fees the dealers charge you. Just a thought.

Yes, just went to dealer website and direct purchase online with sales tax and shipping runs $2846 for the GTS 150 and I can get a Trail Master XRS 150 to my door for $1950. Nearly $900 more for basically the same machine.

Yes I put my other Trail Master 150 together, not a big deal. Thanks for the reply. Perhaps IF I had a stocking dealer I could wheel and deal but the dealer listed on the Hammer Head website for Iowa and the closest one I called really was not interested in selling one.

Rumor has it that Polaris purchased Hammerhead maybe that will help.

Polaris purchased Hammerhead in 2015 I believe. Don't know if it's helping or not. I thought I've read on here where they were making it difficult for the smaller dealers. Can't remember how though.

So its not letting them be completive on price is my guess. They want to force them to Polaris dealer so they can upsell. They already sell the RZR 170 which is Chinese made, so why would they want more completion?

Steele Powersports (Travis)is a Trailmaster dealer out of Indiana. Good guy. Not sure if you can get a better deal thru him or not.

That much of a price difference between the two would make it a no-brainer for me. They can't be that much different.

My buddy Scott at Kart-Mart here in Kansas sells the Trailmaster, but just everyone else has none in stock. They seem to be a pretty good buggy for what they are. If you can get drop shipped for 1900,I think that is the way I'd go.

Thank for all the replies, I may just get a new Trail Master XRS 150 and the dealer in St. Louis where I got the last one from was very helpful.

If your willing to come down this far, then Fenton Powersports is a decent place to do business. Brent has decent inventory and parts stocking.
