I'm new to buggynews...hope this is the proper place for this thread and some advice.
I bought a 150cc Roketa earlier this year and have found it to be a bit under powered for my wife and I, still a blast to drive under the right circumstances though. Now I'm eyeballing a sand sniper 400.
Problem is I have a buddy who wants to sell me his 250. It's a Roketa/SunL/whatever and I am just really unsure if it will handle two adults.
Am I putting to much faith in a sand sniper/should I go bigger than a 400?
Am I putting to little faith in a 250?
We have a place in N. Arizona where it is fairly hilly, and the 5 speed of a SS400 sounds like it would fit the bill. Then again, I don't want to waste thousands of dollars if a 250 should do the trick.
Anyone feel the uncertainty I have???

Welcome.
Don't know much about either of those models, but know enough from watching these guys talk about them and video. They'll both get the job done - one just a little quicker than the other.

Depends on how much money and time you want to put into either of them.

the sand sniper is a pretty good machine, add a clutch kit and exhaust and that will really wake it up

imho the 250 is a great machine - but it seems everyone wants some extra power out of it. The newer ones have low and high, but that means you have to stop and shift.

I have clutch 4 speed shift and i like shifting to be in the gear i want to be in.

Imo you won't be happy, trying to climb with 2 adults using a 17-25hp machine. Where you are located you can go used 800cc-1100cc.
