Watch this and tell me how much better a square cage looks vs safety.

I'm not saying I like it better or that I feel unsafe in a square cage. Just that safety may be what they had in mind when they designed the cage. Some of the safest cars in the world are the ugliest.

unless you have a welded and reinforced cage that will happen to every buggy that has to be assembled from a crate. but I do agree a rounded cage will take a hit better. notice in the vid the guy that started driving didn't drive after the crash. either he got fired or went to the hospital.

I agree Chuck, that Yammabuggy cage is weak. He landed nose first with what looks like no damage to the front, but from just a roll on to the top the cage crushed. This Honda Pilot vid is what impresses me. Lands on the top with no damage.

i've seen that vid a couple times and never understood why they would be proud to show that? it's just plain ignorant to drive off a shelf like that.

It's even more ignorant to stretch the cage back out and continue to drive in that style. AB always ragged out their equipment in demos to the point they would have to pay me to take the demo units...

I had a '86 Honda Odessy growing up. My brother talked me into hitting a small ramp (maybe 24" tall). I hit it and the backend went a little higher than the front, so when the front hit first, the rear tires came down and with this big balloon tires and no suspension, it show the back end over top and I landed directly on the driver side roll bar..... all it did was barely crush it in maybe 3 inches. I was impressed to say the least.

WOW..... That was INSANE! Why you would try that, is just stupid. Yet to try that without wearing a helmet is beyond ignorance.

what buyers need to understand is that these sellers can show a 5 minute video all day long of them beating the snot out of a buggy and telling me "see what this buggy can do" but it don't mean fecal matter to me. heII i can drive my kids' 3203 yerf dog off a hill and it would probably hold up once, maybe twice....long enough to show a 2 or 3 minute video of me doing it and telling people that it's bullet-proof but i'll be that buggy ain't worth crap after that.
what matters to me is talking to other people that own that buggy and getting their opinions of what it's worth. all these short youtube videos are worthless!

* my .02 worth anyway *
