I have a Carter Brothers GTR 250, that we can't get any spark to the plug and has a broken drivers side rear axle (have found a place that has a new stock one). Have been talking to my wife and kids about selling it and buying a smaller one for the kids. We have $1500 total in it and was wondering if anyone thought we could just get our money back out of it? We are also interested in trading it for a 150 if anyone thinks its a fair deal. What do you think (can we get our money back)?

I think $1500 if it is in working order would be fair. A $1500 fixer-upper, I think would be a little high, IMO.

What year is it? Do a search for similier year in your area for idea of what it is worth... for sure it is worth more running. no spark issue could be simple matter, axle may be a little more involved. When you sat broken.. do you mean axle snapped or joint problem? (I'm unfamilier with carter broes) -Pat

Also- I just saw a thread about someone parting out a 250 Carter.. you should contact him
