I bought a BMS 400cc sand sniper about two years ago. The engine siezed up and was rebuilt. I finally got it back together and it wont shift to neutral. I can find any information on this topic and would like some help due to me not knowing much about these things. I can get it to shift from 2 to 5 but it will not go below 2nd gear. It has a paddle shifter on the steering wheel that shifts the gears. Any help would be greatly appreciated

There is a solenoid at the transmission that that can be disconnected. Try shifting it manually to see if it is just an adjustment or if there is something going on with the synchros inside the transmission.

Is your idle down low enough that the clutch and rear wheels are not engaging when off the throttle? You may be getting gear bind if the idle is too high and engaging the gear teeth.
