Has anyone EVER or is ANYONE EVER going to do a shootout between these mid-range bestsellers?
They all comply with European "quadricycle" legislation and should be compared over the same ground and circumstances if possible, a-la-"Top-Gear". (BBC programme for petrol heads)
Joyner seems to have the best reputation, Kinroad seems to be the best equipped(good mud-guards), Roketa/Goka seem to be bigger but are they any better?
Tests on AND off road would be appreciated as well as aftersales support from manufacturer in China.
Forget the Goka G32, have you seen the 500cc, 4x4 buggy from China, marketed as the Syko or Adrenelin buggy in the UK? It looks like the PGO Bugracer 500i but with a £2000 price drop PLUS the benefit of 4x4 AND diff locker.....BARGAIN!!!
Now that would be a shoot-out! Joyner 650, Kinroad 650, Syko/Adrenelin 500 4x4 and PGO Bugracer 500i. 4 ways!!
On-road performance, off-road performance, wear-n-tear, tuning, parts availability and running costs. Did I miss anything?
I'd write/host the article/video if only the Buggies could be supplied in factory trim and road legal for the shootout. I have the locations and film makers on stand-by.
Unfortunately, the Goka is not available as a road legal buggy in the UK. That and the fact that at 800cc, it sort of stretches the "mid range quadricycle" tag quite a bit.
Look i just brought my Roketa gk-32 out to So Cal and need less to say it ran perfect. I took it to Stoddard Wells, New Hall, and Gorman! This thing can climb every bit as good as a Rhino. I found myself out running the UTV. Everyone kept riding it saying how nice it was in comparison to the UTV's. On the flats it ran on average of about 50. I know i can go faster if it were hard pack roads. All I can say is, i'm looking for another one.
P.S. I fit on the trails, 1100 might not.

I own an LJ Tech 800cc EFI similar to the Roketa GK-32 and I own a Polaris RZR 800cc EFI. I did a little performance shoot out between these two and this is what I can tell you so far. The Polaris jumps the LJ tech out of the hole and stays in front by a couple buggy lengths until we shut them down at about 40 I think the LJ Tech would pass the Polaris eventually. Now if you put them both on a track with a lot of turns the LJ Tech would win because it can handle the corners much faster the Polaris is tippy in high speed corners. The Polaris wins again by far for hill climbing and short tight turning trails. The Polaris is bone stock and the LJ Tech has a pipe and K&N filter but stock other wise.
Do you have the low range Trans? That might be a big part of it. I ran against a rhino 660, and the polaris 800. The 800 beat me off the line by one buggy length, but after that i never saw him again! I am running some cyl head modifications but stock carb. I'm sure the UTV's will be able to climb thing the buggy can't because of the 4 wheel drive and CVT. No problems so far!
Reliability is more important than everything else to me. One CV boot out of costless hours of operation, i'll take it!

Yes my buggy has the lower gears I just changed them. The shoot out was done after the gear change. The old gears would have been a blow out for the LJ Tech.
