i am looking into getting an aftermarket clutch for my gx150IIr and am wondering what the best one would be. i have looked at the koso and some of the mrp's but have not found any good reviews on them. i don't know if there are any other clutches. i have read that the stock clutch for some is the best. is this really true? please help
The stock one does works really well. There is a nes clutch that just came out called the HiT, that is supposed to be the next best thing. There are 5 people on here that have it. Lets see what the reviews say.
The Koso clutch works really well if you are in sand alot or on alot of hills.

Thanks. i have alot of hill where i ride. i have read about that nes clutch that the 5 people got on here. sounds great but alittle out of my price range. from what i have read it is like $150 or $200 normal price and they got it for $95. i also have some second thoughts on the locking pin, but i hope it works out for the best.

I started into it today but had to stop--I had forgot about the nut from devilville. I don't have a socket that big and the last time I took it apart it was at work.

i am also looking for a better clutch.i read about how the "hit clutch" works and it seems like a horseman clutch i used to use racing 5hp briggs engines on dirtrack. they had a 2700 rpm stall. the clutch that came on my kinroad burnt up within a few weeks. the second clutch melted the aluminum and bent the pad inside out. i reordered the same clutch and this one seems to be doing well. when i first got it i sanded my old bell down with a dremel and when i installed it,it done fine for a day or 2 then started to slip. so i held the gas and brake until smoke was boiling from the cvt, parked the buggy and the next day it was great and hasnt slipped since...been 2 weeks. below is pictures of the clutch i have now. look how small the pad is.
is there any way to get a "hit clutch" for under $200.00 thats expensive. i imagine the stuff i climb it wouldnt last for a few months anyway. i dont think it would be worth it in the long run

File comment: here is some info about the "uni hit clutch" very impressive if you ask me but look at the price. if you was racing the buggy i would say this is an awsome deal as a dirttrack briggs clutch is $300.00 g.jpg [ 101.7 KiB | Viewed 14 times ]
I have tried the koso, and mrp and the stock Blade clutch was better than both of them. The Hit is a lot better then the blade.I dont know if it is just where I ride but I love it.I do run my buggy hard and in the mud and the water and some steep small hills.I hope this helps.James

they need to make a rebuild kit so that you can use the "hit clutch" mechanism but keep your exsisting clutch frame and pads but just make the pads hit the bell harder. i just cant bring myself to get a hit clutch...for that money i could order a "big bore kit" and have the more torque to keep the clutch engadged
I have an idea why dont bige just give us a free "hit clutch" so we can test it and write reviews about what we think. sounds like the perfect idea to me
