I was surfing Ebay today and I came across someone selling 650cc and 800cc chinese engines just like in our buggies. 800cc engine http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/800CC-WA ... 0216576460 650cc engine http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/650CC-WA ... 0222306824 The 800c looks like it has the new updated alternator bracket... I wonder if it is the low ratio trans too... |

For some reason your links don't work. Here are some new ones. 800CC http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/800CC-WATER-COOLED-ENGINE-ATV-UTV-GO-KART-BUGGY-TRACTOR_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp1742Q2em153Q2el1262QQcategoryZ43977QQihZ008QQitemZ180224375567 650CC http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/650CC-WATER-COOLED-ENGINE-ATV-UTV-GO-KART-BUGGY-TRACTOR_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ43977QQihZ008QQitemZ180224375819 Chris |

No problem, Yeah, the auctions had ended, but eBay normally keeps the links active until about 6 months after the auction has ended. Then they delete the auction of their server. Chris |

Good find PUNARAMBLER, It is up again. I e-mailed to see if I could buy five at a time for a better deal. They have a weird carb set up on them. I,m really courious if they have a hi or low tranz. Heck I have 1200 in a good rebuild with a new crank, pistons and head so that is worth it and the trany as a bonus. Later W.C. |

West Coast Do you think you could squeez an 800 into a Sand Spider frame? I think the tranny is the exact same as the 650cc tranny. |

I think that could be an awesome combo, shouldent be too hard. Would probably need to make some axles and a bigger radiator but anythings possible with a little work and money. Later W.C. |

jbquadrider, your correct the trany's are the same, so no need to mod axles , I will measure from the bell housing to the vibration dampner on my 800 and let you know, so you can see if you have the room. Cooling will still be an issue I think, but like I said it shouldent be too hard to mount a new radiator on board. Heck the wiring should be all the same also. Later W.C. |

W.C. Yeah, I was comparing pictures of both engines & I think even the motor mounts are the same. This would be great if it was a direct bolt in, what a good bang for the buck in performance dept. Steve |

| Post subject: | joyner 650cc and joyner800cc sand spider motors |
I was wondering if the 800cc would fit in the 650 joyner sand spider without doing a bunch of modifying? |
