So I have my third off road vehicle the other two are gone. Its a brand new 2017 Trail Master XRS 150 and its classed as a Go Kart on the Certificate of Origin but it has everything that Iowa law requires of a ORV side by side and I am hoping to do so. Pay the Sales Tax and Title fees so I can legally ride on the trails in the off road parks, as Gypsum City in Ft. Dodge Iowa.

So how are other Iowa people doing this and any issues? I had a RZR 570 side by side and road up there and down to Rathburn.

If it's like my state, they think of go-karts as those little things that run at state fair tracks or at amusement park rides. I would describe all the attributes as a 2wd SxS or UTV and try to get that designation.

I am taking along some pictures showing the roll cage, 5 point harness and brakes on all 4 wheels. Its a side by side 2wd (just like a lot of ATVs). I just don't want to pay the $120 or so in fees and sales tax and have them say.... Sorry.

I was there with my RZR and its huge. Try to download a map before going, you won't get lost so to speak but confused maybe. Worth the trip and they now have a full service campground or you can stay in Ft. Dodge.

At Rathburn in southern Iowa you can get lost, a million trails and maybe one in a hundred marked. Take your GPS and mark where your trailer/ truck is at otherwise a lot of those trails just loop back.
