Yes they are similar in the sense that they are identical in every respect except the front grill! Yours should have the updated exhaust with improved head pipe and also the newer style reverse assembly. I can't remember, is the dlx red?
I think you will very much enjoy it! Be sure you break it in for the full 30min. uhh I mean 10 hours. who are they kidding when they print that in the manual!

Oh!... so the Talon increased it's header pipe too? I think I saw you post that before, but thought you were talking about the new 2005 Twister.
Don't think the 2005 Talons went with the oil cooling though... At least I have yet to hear that they have.

The 2005 Twisters I have seen do not have an oil cooler. they have the funky silver suspension parts, chrome transmission cover and updated reverse/intake & wheels.
Gander Mt. is apparently not getting any more twisters, they have switched to the less expensive O.D. green talons (with camo bikini top)
yeah mine has all of those upgrades. Just got it yesterday. All but the chrome transmission cover. It has the oil cooler, its located in front of the battery, behind the seats. It has the newer wheels, and the chrome mirrors and horn. I have a question though. Should the snorkel go up above the rear rack, because it came straped parallel to the ground behind the seats? Which really isnt much higher than what a regular intake would be. Oh yeah the dlx's are red.
Thanks, Jordan

Yeah, I think it goes up higher. Wow, oil cooler & alloy wheels too, that sounds great. FYI read the article under changing out your air filter anyway. I am not sure how much good the snorkel will do, the main problem would be belt slippage and eventually a worn out belt with too much high water crossings. Not that I have worried too much about that, I'll just get another belt. Once my butt starts getting wet I figure thats deep enough!
Man, I wish I had an oil cooler! I could probably squeak out a little more compression without it running too hot then.
Give us a review on it after you break it in, I LOVE carters customer service, you can't go wrong there!
Tried to post pics the other day but it said the file is corrupted or too large. So I pasted it into paint and minimized it and it still wouldnt work. So I dont know what to do.
