Our buggy busted the piece that the tie-rod is attached to on the a-arm. Gonna have to weld it back and put on a gussett to strengthen it.

Also, my cell phone and camera took and swim and they are also broken and gonna have to be replaced.

On the plus side, ckau and kidnme showed me how to work on the cvt myself so I was able to install a new rear clutch and spring on my own. (spring courtesy of ky_ridgerunner, thanks Kenny!). Also, shuvit and bam41 helped me get it running again Saturday after I had tinkered with it myself for an hour that morning with no success and they showed me how to install the Uni filter I've had laying around here that I bought from Stu and Barry at last year's Bash.

Aside from the expense, it was a great weekend and a wonderful learning experience. I was able to meet some new folks face-to-face and get to know some other members a little better. I appreciate all the help and advice I received.

I can't wait til next year!!!!!!!!!!! :bananadance

Keith

If all your cart is doing is smoking and not making noise it will be a piece of cake just change out the rings. Dirt usually wears them out in a hurry, make sure the filter stays clean and you don't suck in any dirt.

My kart was flawless, nothing broke. On my first ride my kart started missfiring, and when I went back to camp I found I had lost my K&N filter, sent my son out to look for it and he found it,must have been sucking dust.My sons kart all of a sudden would not turn over,me and several other people could not figure it out so I guess we have a gremlin or two .I would have to jump it right at the starter to get it going other than these two things nothing else broke.I would like to thank all those who helped .

I had a motto at our last NE gang MEet!!! lol... If it aint broke when you go home, you didnt ride hard enough!!!

I broke pretty bad last time out in Tamaqua PA, luckily there was a bunch of 2 seaters that gave me a ride for the rest of the day, so that the 2 and a half hour ride wasnt worthless!! lol... But I cant believe that smoke coming out of that carter!!! lol... Def needs rings, and if it isnt makin noise, why go big bore if you dont have to!!! just clean the piston, pop in a couple new rings, change the iol and ride!!! lol... Must have been a blast!!! good to hear nothing terminal!!!

Using the winch as a support when a tie-rod breaks is a new one for me. That was very smart.

I'm glad to hear that everyone was helpful. It's amazing what we all learn from each other.

Can you imagine what this world would be if they all acted like the BN members do?

I sure hope I can make it to next years meet.

That was Shuvit (Tim) from over near Bowling Green. His son had busted the front rim on his 90cc while drag racing someone. They had a bit of a collision at the finish line and fortunately I think it only messed up the rim. No one was hurt at all.
