Metal Motorsports MT150

Sat May 01, 2021 1:11 am

New guy here seeking some info. My boys were recently given a Metal Motorsports MT150. I have had very little luck finding info on this buggy. I found today that it is almost identical (ascetically) to a Tomberlin Punisher 150rx. I found the owners manual online. I contacted go power sports and they had no info or parts for this buggy. Can anyone tell me a little about this buggy & where I can get replacement parts? The buggy runs well but needs some maintenance - ball joints, swing arm bushings to start with.

I appreciate any guidance you can give me!

First attempt at ball joints was unsuccessful. These are the right size but I need them without the taper.
GOOFIT 12mm - 14mm Adjustment Tie Rod End for Go Karts Quad Buggy ATV https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00ZUAWSW8/re ... UTF8&psc=1

Anyone have suggestions on 12-14s with straight shafts?

Ball Joint and Tie Rod End look the same but are different. Ball joint have right hand thread on both thread. Tie Rod End have right hand thread where it connect to the strut and left hand thread where it connect to the tie rod. This is use to adjust the wheel alignment, if both thread were the same you would not be able to adjust the parallelism of your wheels.

Don't know where you can find 12 - 14 but you can search for an ATV that would use the same ball joint and soon you have the number, you can order directly. The other option would be to do a search on Google with different keywords until you find what you have.

Amazon has these mislabeled - I ordered 4, they have standard threads.

I might just stick with what I have & ream/countersink the spindle. Seems like it might be my only option according to buggy depot. https://www.buggydepot.com/ball-joint-1 ... 150r-.html
