After straying a long way from my roots I bought another HH 250. It was a basket case. Got it all back together and running tonight. I fixed the busted transmission case on my old motor from my original HH and put that in. After sitting in the shop floor for almost two years it fired right up. It's slower and rides worse than I remember but it's still a load of fun. Now I can try a few tricks I never got around to before the 400 swap 8)

Hah Me and Pete were just talking bout this a couple months back about how fun it used to be to run our buggies flat out racing each other knowing whoever screwed up the last corner might have just given a 1 sec. edge on the other in a tight race around some small property. There is something to be said about wringing the heck out of these semi stockers that was lost in the quest for more power. Don't get me wrong I love the sled engined custom, but I def. miss where we all started from. It was a hoot to meet up every Fri. night and get half tanked on daddy-pop and race the crap out of each other in a 2 acre homemade track with equally matched buggies in a tight race that lasted 2 hours wet or dry and yet never broke the 30 mph barrier. Heck it's what got us addicted in the first place. It was all about technique and not about sheer power. I hear ya bro... loud and clear!
Carry on!

That is why I just haven't been able to get rid of my 250. It is not the fastest but I have a ball every time I take it out. I know what I can do with it and love to push it to the limits.

Gotta love those smaller buggies I've got a Carter go cart that I sand blasted and painted the frame and then bought a predator 212cc motor on it and removed the governor gear on it it will only do 40 with my big but on it but man its fun to ride feels like your going 100

Looks more like Mudco. Glad you had fun though. Too wet for me to go right now, besides all my "free" time is spent on my S-10 LS engine swap I have going right now.
