Well I'm going to try the big ride here in Pickens this Saturday.my shoulderand arm is still iffy.had rear differential grease seal leaking drained old gear oil it it was thin as hell added a little brake fluid and some new red Texas refinery 80/90 sticky as hell, did the front to.the brake fluid is to swell seal up. gassing and loading her down.suppose to roll out with neighbor we will drive there.it might be a interesting day😀.

Brake fluid you say, can't say I have heard of using that in a diff. I understand the mix just wondering how that will work.

That was used car sales trick to swell gaskets and stop leaks.

It should be ok rich you don't have to add much.we have dumped quarts in final drives of dozers when the life time seal started leaking.a old mechanic showed me the trick years ago.
The gear oil was clean that I replaced but thin as 30 weight oil just look worn out

I had a leaky front diff on my Prowler. Added a little bit of this stuff and it dried it right up. The front diff on the Prowler has a rubber o-ring. Must have been enough to swell it to keep it from leaking.

Good question. His profile says he hasn't been on since Sep. 16th. :?
Hope everything is ok.

Thought I would show a few pictures of where I used to work.i had heard it was all gone now.load out wash plant tracks the whole nine yards.these pictures are on the hill it's being reclaimed.the one picture of the wooded hill side is where I came off it like a top ground was frozen made it all the way to top one track lost traction and away I went.there wasn't any trees than.spent a lot of hours there in all weathers.
