I have a Polaris 1000 Trail and Rock edition and it is plenty fast for me. The nice thing is it climbs like a mountain goat.

I had seen that video before. That XR3 is cool and would be an interesting run for the Yamaha, they are both open country and dune machines. Where the Polaris shines is in the rock crawling hill climbing stuff. Actually mine is set up even better for the rock and hill stuff than the turbo. Mine has fuel mapping for low speed crawling and even has a lower gear set in low for the real technical stuff. A lot of the stuff on mine is standard equipment where on the turbo and standard XP you have to buy. Mine came with skid plates, winch, the bead locks with Pro Armor crawler tires, heavier front axles and front differential. It comes standard with high clearance front A arms and rear radius rods. It also comes standard with Polaris Click 6 6 point harnesses. I have upgraded to a better roll cage and done a few other upgrades since I got it.

Is that the Trails & Rocks Edition XP? Have I seen that one at one of our rides? It looks pretty badarse. Special order, or something the dealer had on the floor?

Yes it is the Trails and Rocks Edition and it is the limited edition kind of like the High Lifter. The dealer had it on the floor. Most of the bigger dealers have at least one on the floor. And yes it was at the bash this year.

Well, the next time we go riding, I'll just pay more attention when you're climbing something that I wouldn't dare try!
