Some of you may know I’m in the process of an engine swap with a mirage engine. I had a question for those who have done it about the axles.

For those of you who have done a swap are you using the complete donor axles or are you welding together the donor vehicle axles to the joyner axles via sleeves?

I’d love to use the donor axles but in doing that I would have to change hubs, bearings, possibly knuckles brakes, wheels etc. Which is a bit much, so i’m kicking around the idea of welding the donor axles to my joyner’s so I can keep the rest of the rear end in its stock form without heavy fab and mods. I’m just concerned they will not be strong enough. It’s going to be an open diff with 75hp and 75ft lbs so the joyner parts might be able to deal with that, but i’m not sure...

any suggestions are certainly appreciated!
