Anybody interested?

This machine started off as a 2009 Joyner Sand Viper 250cc. The motor/transmission has been replaced with a 400cc two stroke Polaris Scrambler motor/transmission (high/low/neutral/reverse). The bottom end of the motor was gone thru by Triple E a few years ago (new bearings/seals) and the top end had rings/Wiseco piston about the same time. The cylinder has been ported/polished, it has a V-force reed cage, lightened flywheel, and case saver modification (done by Ritter Cycle Racing). The cage has additional gussets/supports. Front shocks are rebuilt Walker Evans shocks. It has LED lights front and rear. Instrumentation is a Trail Tech Vapor (records RPM, speed, temp, time, etc), and a separate volt meter. Just put in a new radiator. I have the manufacturer's certificate of origin which you might be able to turn into a title, but no guarantees. Have a bunch of extra parts, including different clutch springs and rear sprockets if you want to tune it differently.

$2,500. Sold as is.

If I remember correctly, much of the build was done by a former member in TN, but the original owner was in OH who is also a former BN member. If you look closely, the upper and rear frame have been modified from stock. Sockman did a great job getting it all together and running. I'm sure he has more detail of what was done prior to his ownership and what he has upgraded. If it has an upgraded steering rack, it may be the one I suggested which is often used in VW rails with a different input spline that just happens to match the Yerf-Dog's.

Not a Rich build. This one has some history. Thatcomputerdude bought it new. Mod'd the 250 pretty good, but then with some help I think did the 400 swap. I think Gary helped with the welded cage and Josh, possibly Digger? The 250 that was in it, is now in Funnyman's Hammerhead. I bought it and did quite a bit to it - re-engineered the engine bay, the cradle, much of the wiring, the rear wing, the shifter and center console, the dash, added gussets to the cage, painted it back to the original red, etc, etc. Basically went through it all.

That I don't know. When I bought it, the original was stripped out, but he had already bought the replacement part so I installed what he had. I don't know if that was an OE part or not.

You would need to look at the lower half of your steering shaft. The lower Yerf shaft actually fits to the upper Joyner shaft, but the splined sockets are different on a Joyner. I have a spare rack with the Yerf shaft at home for my Joyner if I ever blow out the OEM one. I bought my spare back in 2012, so I don't know what currently is offered. 16mm with 36 splines if I got it right...

Looks like you did a great job on it. Any videos?

So, been tinkering with this buggy a bit lately. Holy poop, this thing is crazy fast. Forgot how fun it can be. I'll try to get some vid of it in action.

Some vids taken today.

Now, in the first one, I should have let it warm up a bit more than I did, but wanted folks to see it when it was "cold". It pretty much pops right off. Needs a few more seconds to get fully warmed up.

This was after I had turned around a ways down the road and came back. Now, before I let off the throttle was hitting around 50mph or so. It's got more than that (for sure), but gets a little squirrelly in the gravel at high speeds. I calibrated the speedo with an app I have, so it should be fairly close.

And the return to the barnyard.

That looks like a blast. I don't think my neighbors would appreciate it though.
